Systems Security Manager in Dallas, TX

Manages the development, maintenance, and implementation of information security and control policies, procedures, and standards. Participates in new system development and implementations to ensure that development efforts follow appropriate guidelines and controls are adequately incorporated into the systems.

Manages risk assessments of systems, applications and networks to identify control weaknesses and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls in reducing information systems control. Coordinates security relationships involving architectures, incident response, and business continuity.

. Perform research on security technologies and tools; designing and implementing security architecture; enterprise risk assessments and reporting.
. Manage risk assessments of applications, systems and networks to identify control weaknesses.
. Responsible for interfacing with business partners to understand their security needs; design, develop or recommend integrated security solutions; and implement and support solutions.
. Participate in new system development and implementations to ensure development follow appropriate policies, standards and guidelines into the systems.
. Provide and maintain technical expertise on security aspects of applications, systems and networks.
. Assists in assuring specific information security plans/goals are consistent with organizational plans/goals.
. Review existing information security policies, standards, and baselines, and offer recommendations and feedback for best practice and technical controls.
. Develop and maintain information security policies, standards and minimum security baselines in connection with information security requirements.
. Coordinate security relationships involving architectures, security awareness, risk assessments, incident response, and business continuity.
. Recommend and implement security product requirements, policy and procedures for current and future services and systems.
Experience: Requires 3-5 years experience and a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Management, or related field in order to provide consultative and technical expertise to customers. Must be proactive, possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Project Management experience and able to bring consultative advice with implementation of new technologies within operational business areas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment (virtual and on site) to motivate others to achieve the overall project goals.
