Business Intelligence/ Datawarehouse programmers with 8 to 10 years experience on mainframe DB2, DB2 in Dallas, TX

CW-77896-DR Our client in Plano, Texas is looking for two strong Business Intelligence/ Datawarehouse programmers with 8 to 10 years experience on mainframe DB2, DB2 utilities, COBOL, SQL, MVS JCL, and MVS batch processing to help with their Merchandise Reporting Project. One position will be for 12 months with the option to hire and the other position will be for 6 months with the option to hire. Software Languages Required: MVS JCL, SQL, COBOL, DB2 Utilities, Unix Korn Shell scripting, DTS packages Additional requirements: * 2 - 3 years of in-depth experience building, supporting and maintaining large data warehouse tables, performance tuning and optimization of queries and processing of tables. * 2 - 3 years of experience working on the IBM AIX / UDB platform. Must be proficient in IBM AIX / UDB batch processing, including Unix scripting, Unix functions and commands. * 8 - 10 years of experience on mainframe DB2, DB2 utilities, COBOL, SQL, MVS JCL, and MVS batch processing. * 10 - 12 years of experience in Information Technology, analyzing, planning and design, developing, implementing and maintaining Application systems. * Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing experience with following technologies a BIG plus: 1. Teradata, Oracle or Data Warehouse Appliances such as Neteeza or DataAllegro 2. ETL tools (Ascential or Informatica) 3. Microstrategy, Webfocus, Cognos, Business Objects, SQL 2005 Business Intelligence Toolset, Hyperion, Brio, SAS or other BI tools. * General experience with the Retail Merchandising processes. * Requires on call after hours support, including nights and weekends.
