Responsibilities: - Develop automation to collect, age and summarize operational metrics from many different data sources to a central repository. - Design and optimize databases within the repository to support historical analysis and trending. - Develop and automate reports to alert operations staff to anomalies in application and system behaviors that require remedial action. - Transfer knowledge and train staff on maintenance of developed database automation and reporting. NO THIRD PARTIES. MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN UNITED STATES. Experience: Required Experience/Skills: - 10 years experience using MySQL. - 3 years of that experience in data warehousing including: using version 5.0; managing tables using InnoDB, MyISAM, Merge and Archive engines; using utilities such as myisampack to conserve space; optimizing queries and table design for better performance. - Statistical analysis, computer science or operations research degree. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially an ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms. - Thorough, precise and accurate in carrying out tasks .
