SQL Data Analyst in Dallas, TX

This SQL Data Analyst position will support both internal and external customers when they need help with our database applications. The SQL Data Analyst will support internal and external users (~200 users) and troubleshoot our proprietary application suite of products. The SQL Data Analyst will be responsible for identifying and documenting issues for the knowledge base. Duties will also include advanced Monitoring of the database systems and reporting system status. The SQL Data Analyst will identify defects in application and provide suggestions, as well as resolve customer issues with short term workarounds if needed. Providing superior customer experience both written and orally is a large part of the role. The SQL Data Analyst will also be replicating and validating issues and either resolves or assigns / communicates to applicable team to resolve. The SQL Data Analyst works with the user community to determine the best solution to help resolve customer problems and will establish positive working relationships with Operations team to provide next level of support of business needs. Candidates will need to have a strong understanding of web based technologies and principles (Java, Swing client, etc). In addition, a strong understanding of Network principles and technologies (TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, VPN, wireless etc.) will be helpful.

Experience: For this SQL Data Analyst role, certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, MCTS or MCP are highly preferred, as well as a Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience. The SQL Data Analyst should possess at least 5+ years troubleshooting skills &#150; and needs to be able to troubleshoot problems with minimal direction. Also required is 3+ years research skills &#150; needs to be able to find answers for questions that are not apparent. Technically, we are looking for a minimum of 3+ years of PL/SQL or SQL Server or Oracle experience and 1+ year XML, HTML experience. Some Weblogic knowledge is a strong plus. The SQL Data Analyst will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong documentation skills. Logistics, distribution or supply chain experience a plus.
