One of our largest and most prestigious clients has an immediate opening for a systems administrator to manage multiple Unix and Solaris servers and network security. This Unix Administrator position is responsible for supporting the hardware and software used for maintaining network security. The successful Unix Administrator candidate must have proven technical skills, the knowledge necessary to troubleshoot network and server issues, the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, and the willingness to provide 24x7 support. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: We are looking for an individual with strong Unix Systems Administration experience (minimum of 3 years) and strong Sun Solaris hardware support experience (minimum of 3 years). The ideal candidate will have a solid Cisco Router and Firewall support experience (minimum of 2 years). Some Linux system administration desired, as well as solid LAN and WAN experience. The Unix Administrator will have a background in VPN support experience – both Site-to-Site and Remote Client. Apache Server and IIS support experience is also needed. The candidate will have working Knowledge of DNS and SMTP and strong communication and documentation skills. The Unix Administrator will need to have the ability to train internal staff, work with vendors, and assess new technologies and make product recommendations.
