We have an immediate need for a Business Analyst in the IT field.
Job Description is below...
Serves as an intermediary between technical developers and end users.
Receives requests for software changes or new development.
Reviews information provided and identifies areas of missing information.
Talks with project requesters and stakeholders.
Analyzes and evaluates present or proposed business procedures or problems to define information technology needs.
As needed, travels to meet with users in company offices worldwide.
Asks the right questions to gather requirements as a friendly yet determined investigator.
Contacts others to help clarify requirements.
Works closely with employees at all levels in the company.
Develops a forest and trees understanding the needs of the business.
Formally defines and documents requirements, communicating them clearly in writing for software developers.
Answers questions as they come up from software developers.
Tests the software produced to ensure it meets the needs of the business.
Qualifications (must haves)
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, psychology, English, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a business analyst role.
Experience in multiple phases of software development.
Training or technical writer background a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Fluency in other languages (Chinese, Korean, Spanish) preferred but not required.
Strong facilitation skills and experience working with both individuals and groups of 5 or more people.
Ability to work closely with people at all levels of an organization.
Superior problem solving and issues management experience.
Gap analysis experience required.
Data and process modeling including the use of modeling or case tools helpful.
