Genesis10 is in need of a Senior CISCO Network Engineer for a major client in Plano, Texas on a contract-to-hire basis. As the Senior CISCO Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture design, strategy development and support of all network equipment and interoffice data communications. Will participate in an on call rotation with other Network Engineer and will be responsible for internal and external customer support via the Helpdesk and ticketing system, Desktop Support and the Data Center.
Responsibilities
- Manage entire network infrastructure for multi-site company world wide.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Strong networking experience Layers 1-4, Implementing and troubleshooting VPN site to site connectivity.
- EIGRP experience is a must.
- Must have detailed knowledge of PIX/ASA Firewalls.
- Cisco 65xx experience, HSRP, route redundancy, Etherchannel.
- Five years direct network experience.
- Practical experience utilizing BGP maintaining in a complex environment.
- Experience with Content Switch and VPN Connector.
- Senior level management engagement and communication is required.
- Ability to mentor and coach Network Engineers.
- Certifications: CCNA and or pursuing their CCIE (at least the written portion).
- Hardware: Cisco AP 11xx, ASA 55xx, 26xx, 28xx, Catalyst 29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 65xx, IDS 4210, CSS 11503, PIX 515, VPN 3000.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Load balancing using Cisco CSS, QOS, NAC, Intrusion detection systems.
- Wireless LAN controller, two-factor VPN and PCI DSS understanding.
- CCNP Certification.
