Lawson ERP Administrator in Dallas, TX

This Dallas based company has a need for a Lawson System Administrator for their Enterprise Lawson ERP implementation effort. In this role the Candidate will be responsible for the system administration of the Lawson Financials and Supply Chain functions and features that implement, secure and supports client business applications. Candidate will be responsible for the administration, security, implementation, and maintenance of the Lawson environment and applications on an Oracle platform. Administrator has to identify the resource systems where they reside, designs, implements and maintains automated and manual systems. Candidate will spend a majority of their time executing tasks related to the Lawson delivery. Most of this client time will be focused on detailed project tasks. As the Systems Administrator, role closely monitors the performance of specific computer/communications network components to ensure system availability and to verify smooth system operations. Implements, monitors and maintains specified systems. Defines and implements backup and recovery procedures. Conducts performance tests as necessary. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct problems. Identifies, documents, resolves and communicates solutions and system problems to users. Ensures system efficiency and security. As a team member, you will also be expected to participate in team building relationships. Candidate must be comfortable working in a self-directed team, you will be expected to be task-oriented and meet and exceed project and team deliverables.
Experience: Required Technical Skills: . Over 5+ years of Information Technology experience;. At least 3+ years of Lawson technical experience; . Demonstrate the ability to install patches/cyclicals/upgrades to the Lawson Environment, Applications and peripheral products (Lawson Business Intelligence, Mobile Supply Chain Management, etc.) . Knowledgeable in Lawson 8.x applications (Supply Chain and Finance version 8.1 or 9 applications). . Solid understanding of relational database models and dimensional data models. 3+ years experience working with Oracle (or similar RDBMS). 2+ years experience designing and developing complex stored procedures with SQL;. Knowledge and use of the IT system 'Life Cycle' development techniques. . Ability to maintain file systems, directories, log files, print files and work files. . Experienced in UNIX navigation and commands. . Experience in concepts of LDAP tools (ADAM). . Ability to coordinate and track patch promotion from test to production environments. . Ability to partner with DBA to create Oracle instances and ongoing maintenance. . Strong analytical abilities required to interact with customers to evaluate work and provide technical assistance. . Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks;. Proactive personality with a proven track record of delivering on responsibilities and tasks.. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration. Computer Sciences, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
