This client has a need for a software developer JavaScript and/or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience who wants to move into a data warehouse business intelligence reporting analyst. You will be trained to design and build Business Intelligence reports utilizing your existing business experience and knowledge. As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will learn ROLAP concepts and techniques. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of the Business Intelligence environment and database structures for a large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). You will gain knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems to evaluate requests for new or modified programs, systems, or databases to determine feasibility, resource requirements, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities. You may plan or direct the modification of programs to process data and solve data, database, system, or report problems.Key Objectives: -- Identify ownership and accountability for enterprise reporting information. -- Ensure that information needs and business rules are in compliance with enterprise policies and standards. -- Build a framework for accurately capturing, sharing, distributing, securing, and leveraging company data resources. -- Provide enterprise metadata repository services.
Experience: Job Requirements:1) Three years experience in an Information Technology development2) Three years of reporting experience working in a SQL database environment. 3) Two years experience with relational database technology, SQL Programming. 4) Two years of experience in a JavaScript, VBA, Excel, and/or MS SQL Server, or MS Access. 5) Experience with SQL, relational database systems tools. Required: -- Strong ability to work with business units to formulate business and data requirements. -- Ability to work with other database administrators to complete database designs and models. -- Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, S-Designor, or equivalent. -- Knowledge of Unix. -- Highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills dedicated to completing tasks on schedule. -- Experience with other Business Intelligence software (SAS, Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategies) applications. Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration.
