Genesis10 is in need of Strategic Business Development Consultant for a major client in Frisco, Texas on a 6 month contract basis. The Senior IT Business Consultant will support change initiatives within the organization and work with leadership to manage IT business re-engineering processes and/or projects.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to re-engineer business operations, change management activities and operational effectiveness.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements, solution oriented, and skilled in planning development.
- Proven history of project delivery and some system implementation experience.
- Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Full project life cycle experience from JAD sessions through design, development and implementation.
- Independent thought leader and proven ability to lead teams to perform current state process assessments, analyze data and assemble "the case" and develop and implement business processes and reporting, proactively explore opportunities that create business value and improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvement.
- Ability to drive deployment of project plans and coordinate daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project teams in order to deliver against plan on time, on budget.
- 7+ years of related work experience.
- Highly motivated self-starter; desire to deliver.
- Business acumen; ability to learn quickly about global businesses and related strategic growth and profit drivers.
- Able to identify gaps between the current deployment of applications and future requirements that have evolved due to organizational growth, changes, or strategy. Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts to address business process or systems issues.
- Ability to act as project leader of business application initiatives, performing requirements gathering, development effort estimates, gap analysis, implementation configuration, scope control, testing, training and end-user support, according to project methodology.
- Ability to identify and communicate project risks and recommend solutions.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Understanding of re-engineering approaches.
- General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
- General knowledge of Financial Services, specifically Credit Union is a plus!
- Prior experience working as a consultant in a financial services or Big 4 consulting environment is preferred.
- Prior IT operations experience or exposure is preferred.
