CISCO Certified Network Engineer (CCNA, CCNP or CCIE) in Dallas, TX

Our client is currently interviewing candidates for a Senior Network Engineer positions who will evaluate, install and support network communications equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and IPSec VPNs as well as managing the network architecture design and services. The ideal candidates will ensure compliance with all security policies and standards. This goal oriented self starter will provide IT support for the development and implementation of network systems to meet new and evolving business and security requirements; input to disaster recovery; contribute to and assist in implementing overall strategic goals for technology infrastructure and security in collaboration with our clients networking team. Day to day job duties will include both 2nd and 3rd level support, so the ideal candidate will need to be extremely technical. This self starter will be required to handle all VPN, add/change/deletes as well as assisting in going from PIX Fire Walls Juniper. Support of our clients People Soft ticketing system will also be required. Experience: Job Responsibilities
Configure network hardware (Cisco routers, switches, VPN gateways, firewalls (Cisco & Juniper), load balancers (F5), etc), software, and links (MPLS, VPN(Site-to-Site), Internet, etc).
Responsible for the architecture, documentation, implementation, and administration of I.S. hardware, policies, best-practices, industry standards for worldwide deployment of WAN/LAN using the various platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, F5, HP.
Provides Level 2 support and problem resolution for workstation & server network problems.
Troubleshoot switched VLANS, core routers, WAN connectivity issues within multiple locations.
Responsible for resolving problems with LAN infrastructure, including all copper (Cat5e - 6) and fiber optic cabling on the campus.
Oversees data wiring projects - Local Area Network (LAN).
Configure new (and modify existing) routers, switches, and all other network equipment.
Use diagnostic tools and techniques for troubleshooting LANs and WANs. This includes working with protocol analyzers (packets sniffers) and following standard best practices for evaluating and resolving network problems.
Assist in the testing, selection, placement, implementation, documentation, operation and maintenance of various network technologies including authentication devices, access controls, firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, IDS/IPS/SIM systems and analysis tools.
Interface with senior management as necessary, providing reports, presentations, and recommendations covering the operational aspects of the network.
Successful track record of technical project delivery within a network systems environment.
Be apart of the team responsible for the recovery of all systems as a part of the Incident Response Business Plan (Disaster Recovery).
Produce management reports on the level of service achieved.
Drive projects to success by working closely with Sr. Management, internal customers, vendors, and IT Development staff to facilitate efficient project workflow.
Work with software vendors regarding licensing and maintenance agreements.
Develops, implements, and manages projects relating to infrastructure programs in support of business initiatives using ITIL methodology.
Create, Track and Analyze project metrics as needed and present findings/recommendations to appropriate individuals.
Ensure standards and procedures for all supported systems exist and are accurate.
Must be able to work outside normal hours in order to perform diagnosis and/or implementation of product releases or changes, so that normal workflow is not interrupted.
On-call duties will be required in a team environment.

Required Skills:
Education/Training:
College degree - Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Special Skills and Certificates: CCIE, CCNP or CCNA
Familiarity with at least 2 of the IT Security and Industry related regulations (Sarbanes-Oxley, VISA PCI, Healthcare Information Privacy Protection Act (HIPPA), SB 1386).
Knowledge in Wireless Networking and Prevention of rogue APs

Desired Skills:
VoIP implementation and monitoring experience.
F5 BIG-IP LTM version 9.x experience.

Work Experience
Qualified and successful candidates will have at least 8 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of experience working extensively on network architecture and hardware.
Proven experience defining and implementing best practices and hands-on work with firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, security auditing, VPN's, remote access and overall network design.
Prior experience with Cisco networking hardware / Cisco IOS knowledge.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent.
Familiar with 4500 & 6500 series switches, 7200 series routers, 2950/3550/3600/3700 series switches.
Routing protocols include BGP and EIGRP.
Network Topologies supported include TCP/IP, MPLS, T1, OC-3, DS3.
