Work with Business Analysts, development team members, and users to review the business requirements and prepare technical design documentsDocument extended use cases, class diagrams, collaborations diagrams, sequence diagrams, and construction of non-functional and functional prototypesConstruct, test, and implement software that meets the business requirements and technical design specificationsWork with Business Analysts, Quality Analysts, and other Information Technology (IT) staff to analyze and resolve defectsParticipate in regular code reviewsPrepare or assist in the preparation of implementation documentationWork with Systems Administration and Operations personnel in the implementation of applicationsWork with Business Analysts, help desk personnel, and other IT professionals to identify and resolve issues reported in the production environment Required Skills: Financial Investment/Trading industry -or- high-volume transaction Website development experience.Four year college degree in Computer Science, MIS or related area.At least 5 years of software development experience with at least 2 years C#.net and ASP.net (Winforms is a plus).2 or more years SQL Server 2000 (or higher)Proficiency with Microsoft VisualStudio and related development toolsExperience with: Design Patterns; structured, Object Oriented design, and coding; gathering user requirements through use case definition and Object Oriented analysis and design techniques. Focus on customer service and customer satisfactionAbility to organize and manage multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentPreferred: .net 3.5, WCF, WPF, LINQ, Microsoft Project, HTML, XML and browser based systems using Microsoft and JAVA based technologiesVersion control software (ie Visual SourceSafe, PVCS)Certifications are a plus (eg MCSD, MCDBA, etc).
