JCPenney Information Technology has an immediate opening for a IT Budget Analyst in the Technical Services - Data Processing Operations Department. The IT Budget Analyst supports the effective processing and accumulation of financial data and its timely presentation to operating management.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs assigned accounting activities in order to provide timely delivery of financial information to appropriate Company management that accurately measures financial results and enhances decision making.
2. Assists in the development and implementation of financial projects, as assigned, to ensure that proper and cost-effective accounting standards and controls are included in systems and processes.
3. Develops and refines techniques that support accounting standards, controls, and measurements for management?s use.
4. Collects and compiles data and presents oral and written reports to support development, implementation, or evaluation of accounting related programs and procedures.
5. Identifies areas in current systems and procedures that should be reviewed for improvement.
6. Develops or supervises the development of proper written documentation for all finance and accounting-related processes in assigned functions.
Qualifications:
1. Education: College degree or equivalent business experience. Major in accounting or finance is beneficial. Graduate training in accounting or finance is desirable. Work begun or completed for systems application major is desirable.
2. 4 years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience in a large corporation or public accounting firm with exposure to multiple aspects of accounting/finance functions.
3. Knowledge of accounting theory, analytical and conceptual skills, systems application, accuracy, supervisory and developmental skills, oral and written communication skills, project management.
4. Must be a self-starter and have a proven record of accurate and timely completion of work assigned.
