PROGRAMMER ANALYST IV

Reporting to the IT Development Director of Marketing Systems, this position will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting of software utilized by the Central Reservations System.

Principle Responsibilities:
The qualified candidate will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the reservation call center application. This application is being re-developed and enhanced using the latest technologies. The qualified candidate will evaluate and provide proposals to management of the architecture.

The qualified candidate will possess extensive, proven technical development expertise in a software development environment. The candidate must also prove flexibility to work on multiple projects utilizing different skill sets simultaneously. The candidate must possess a strong capability to work within a team environment as well as independently.


Job Requirements:
Education:
BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Experience:
3 - 6 years experience in the following areas.
Demonstrable GUI projects with complexity and scale, both client server and web based.
User interface design
GUI framework architecture, design and construction
Informix database management systems
HP-UX operating systems
PVCS version control
Experience with Gupta/Centura client server software a plus
Experience with C/C++, Perl a plus


Skills:
Strong technical background in multiple technologies. Broad database design and programming experience.
Ability to provide solid long-term recommendations to management on the proposed architecture.
Ability to maintain and evolve internally created software components.
Demonstrate system documentation skills.
Responsible for writing design specifications that describes system design and its integration with the overall system architecture.
Works with business owners to gather requirements. Incorporate requirements into sound data solutions. Translate requirements into technical specifications, designs, and code. Implement and support the solution.
Demonstrate analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Detail oriented.
Effective planner.
Self-motivator that manages and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to provide recommendations to management for improvements to existing applications.
Work on multiple development priorities concurrently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Possess good time management skills.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
