Responsibilities (Including but not limited to): Provide advanced system administration, operational support and problem resolution for a large complex Unix computing environment. Monitors server performance and capacity. Uses the change management process. Performs computing environment build-outs, site setup, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support and documentation of operating procedures and processes. Performs Unix administration including patch maintenance, disk space management, SAN management, DNS management and business continuity. Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, takes appropriate corrective action and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions.SUN Solaris Unix Administrator with 5+ years experience in Unix systems operations and administration, telecommunications network installation, operations and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Along with 3+ years of Linux System Administration. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline. Sun Solaris and RHCE Certification desired.
