CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN MAJOR METRO AREA IN WESTERN US. (DALLAS, TX or PHOENIX, AZ PREFERRED.) UP TO 100% TRAVEL REQUIRED. Seeking an iSeries IT Specialist. This person will be responsible for providing IT services in a billable engagement. The IT Specialist leads and/or assists in delivery of high quality iSeries solutions to clients in response to specific business requirements. The IT Specialist provides analytical support necessary to develop and implement solutions for small to medium size projects or components/elements of larger projects. On occasion, provide technical advice to project managers/leaders and can give technical direction to team members such as subcontractors or client personnel. Analyze technical problems and create solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. May assist in the identification of new IT services opportunities. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Major Field of Study: CS, Math, Engineering or Related. REQUIRED SKILLS: iSeries OS/400 Operating environments; iSeries Consulting Experience; iSeries Performance & Capacity Planning; iSeries Storage and external attached storage; iSeries High Availability; Excellent Verbal and written communications skills; Leadership; Technical Writing.
