Infrastructure Architect Needed in Irving!
You will:
Determine and maintain the overall infrastructure requirements of the enterprise and define an infrastructure architecture/business view of information content and structure to satisfy those requirements.
This position will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure required for business purposes across the global enterprise, including infrastructure required for current or future services and solutions, is known and available.
A high level of analytical and creative skills with an in-depth knowledge of data systems and database technology are required.
Must have an IT related bachelors degree, 8+ years IT experience with a minimum of 3 years experience as an infrastructure architect
and experience with (Oracle/SQL Server) databases, Storage, UNIX, Networking (VoIP and Global Networks) and Windows.
Good communication skills are essential.
Will report to the Enterprise Infrastructure Director.
Typical duties include:
Determine enterprise infrastructure requirements
Define enterprise infrastructure architecture, including:
Infrastructure elements (fundamental and derived)
Standards for physical and logical elements
Logical relationships and constraints among elements
Derivation rules
Determine external information access architecture along with the security manager
Develop infrastructure architecture transition plan
As-is architecture
To-be architecture
Transition steps
Define enterprise-wide architecture and standards
Develop and implement Standards and policies that will support business unit solutions
Define data models for business unit solutions
Define performance requirements for business unit solutions
During development of new business unit solutions, ensure systems are optimized to meet required performance
Execute work according to processes defined by PMO to ensure proper validation
Define Architecture for support of effort to migrate data from Business Unit ERPs to the single enterprise wide ERP
