This position is a great opportunity for a WebSphere Portal Developer to work with one of our most exciting clients. Primary responsibilities will be WebSphere Portal Administration and coordination of administrative duties across several project teams and customer groups. You will troubleshoot issues with the WebSphere Portal Infrastructure, respond to customer support calls and maintain and update the Portal Remedy configuration. Assist with the deployment of enterprise applications Quality Assurance and Production environments and test, plan, and implement upgrades and fixes to the Portal infrastructure.
5+ years of experience working within a heterogeneous platform environment that includes UNIX, IBM Mainframe, and Windows is required, along with 3+ years of administration and configuration experience with WebSphere Portal Server 4.x and 5.x. Solid programming experience with Java and J2EE is essential. A strong preference will be given for candidates with WebSphere Application Server Administration experience, Web Server configuration and administration, Portal development and integration and 3rd Party security integration with WebSphere Portal 5.x.Solid skills with MS Office are needed with an emphasis on Word and PowerPoint. Solid interpersonal skills and a proven capability to handle multiple situations simultaneously is important in this position. We seek a detail oriented, highly organized and time efficient person with the ability to coordinate between multiple project and customer groups. Solid leadership skills are a must. An advanced degree in IT, Business, or Engineering is preferred.
