IT Quality Assurance Analyst

Description:
Creates, executes and monitors software test plans on selected store systems, and executes and monitors testing using both manual and automated Quality Assurance testing methods, tools and devices.
Responsibilities:
Represents QA working with developers on new software development projects for stores
Creates QA test plans, based on system specifications and design
Ensures that tests are executed and completed in a reliable and consistent manner in accordance with the documented test plans
Accurately documents and reports on test results, including documentation on errors or problems found in testing and overall test project status
Corrects and updates test plans and processes to reflect the variations and changes found while testing, and reports any changes and issues to supervising management.
Identifies needs and changes required to make the testing process and techniques more productive and efficient.
Manages time and resources effectively to ensure project deliverable dates are met
Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent work experience required, Computer Science degree preferred.
1-2 years in a Quality Assurance Software Testing environment
Technical proficiency with Managed Pricing and other Point of Sale related applications used in JCPenney retail stores
Proficiency using automated testing tools: Mercury Test Director, Loadrunner, QuickTest Pro
Proficiency in Windows 2000/2003/XP, SQL Server, Microsoft networks
Excellent analytical, organizational and oral and written communication skills
Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
