.Net Web Developer, Specialist (6705) in Dallas, TX

Perot Systems Corporation, a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients, is currently looking for a .NET Web Developer to join our team in Dallas, Texas.

Job Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for the design and development of web applications (intranet, internet, and extranet) and services to support internal users, consumers, agents, and brokers as required. Must have a solid understanding of how web services interact between multiple platforms and technologies. This position will be working within a blended team to build a well-designed multi-tier system that allows future flexibility, scalability, as well as a framework that will support future web services development.

Work with internal customers throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Develop applications according to business specifications. Provide support for existing web applications, automated procedures, and solutions as needed. Create and/or maintain support documentation including system documentation. Provide operation/production monitoring and problem resolution. Provide application administration and maintenance, such as performance tuning, capacity planning, security monitoring, software upgrades and data cleaning. Evaluate vendor web applications while providing guidance to business for adherence to IT architecture standards. Assist in technology and application planning and conduct technology assessments. Assist in creating and maintaining a test environment for web application and systems testing. Perform web application testing including developing test plans, scripts, and results documentation; backup and recovery including disaster recovery both on and off site. Ensure delivery of quality support/services and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.

Required Skills:

3-5 or more years experience in web application development using Microsoft C#, VB .NET, ASP.NET, DotNetNuke and related technologies.

Experienced in web application evaluation, testing, configuration and implementation.

Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003 operating systems and client-server operations. Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 is preferred.

Troubleshooting of ASP and/or .NET Framework related issues.

Be able to provide guidance with respect to concepts and strategies in solution's architecture, design and development.

Knowledge of technology solution frameworks and standards.

Knowledge with component based development methodology.

Desired Skills:

IIS 5.0 6.0 administration, planning, and deployment knowledge a strong plus.

SQL 2000/2005 administration, planning, and deployment experience a strong plus.

Relational database experience using Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 and query tools, including stored procedures, DTS and database security is a plus.

Good analytical, design, and documentation skills.

Experience working both independently and in a blended-team environment with fellow associates, clients, and vendors.

Experience operating effectively in a multi-tasking environment.

Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills as well as a persuasive, patient manner.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or another technology-related field, or equivalent related work experience.
