Data Analyst in Dallas, TX

Data Anaylst needed to : Create and write stored procedures, views, tables, DTS packages in Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Develop reporting solutions through multiple tools as needed. Ability to produce interactive graphs, pivot tables, etc. for report requirements (intermediate to advanced user). Ad hoc report development. Provide timely response(s) on short-notice and high-priority requests from various departments and upper management. Provide user support and training on information application solutions. As reports are generated, must be able to comprehensively train end-users on the workings of the report and instruct them on its uses. Maintain, troubleshoot, and modify all previous reports as business needs change, as well as when problems arise. Partnering with Information Technology and Origination Operations in support of Data Warehouse, Reporting or other projects as assigned Document all reporting requirements, applications and reports as they are released. The Data Analyst shall be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing information based business solutions related to reporting and ad hoc analysis. The Data Analyst will provide information to the business units based on the requirements set by the business using the technology that best fits the solution. The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements as well as developing the solution. Although the primary job duties focus on operational reporting for pricing and credit scoring, the role will become more analytical over time. Experience: strong on the technical side particularly SQL and Excel pivot tables with a good understanding of relational databases Bachelors degree required 2-3 years of work experience 1-2 years OLAP experience 2 years SQL experience preferably in SQL Server 2000 Exposure to data warehousing and data marts Ability to maintain confidentiality. Understanding of Financial Services products and policies, especially loan origination, credit scoring and risk based pricing.
