Network Engineer (Job #7252) in Dallas, TX

SmartSouce, is looking for a NETWORK ENIGEER for 1-2 month contract for stable consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas. This project involves travel to 2 different school districts located outside of DALLAS. Will be resopnsible for the conversion from Novell to Microsoft Windows. (from 500-2000 users) Responsibilities can range from network troubleshooting to server troubleshooting and maintenance, upgrades, conversions, etc. The person would need to be able to work with a wide variety of software and be experienced with both Novell Netware 6 and Microsoft Server 2000-2003. The ability to troubleshoot network and server problems would be a necessity. REQUIREMENTS 3+ years NETWORK ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE Very strong experience with WINDOWS server, ACTIVE DIRECTORY Knowledge of Novell Ability to work independently and have solid customer service skills. Will require travel to school districts located near the DALLAS area. Possible travel to client sites in DALLAS. Estimated start date is first week of June.
