Our client is recognized and awarded company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area! They are seeking a Data Warehouse Business Analyst who has demonstrated experience requirements gathering, creating detail design documents, and validating business rules. Candidate will have a balanced role as performing the business analysis of processes and functions in a financial services arena and developing new internal initiatives.
This candidate will regularly interact with various executives, senior managers, Directors, development teams, project managers, business analysts, and end-users. You will help develop and implement strategies including data mining, campaign management, web analytics and CRM.
As this position evolves, you will increase your responsibilities to coordinating various Data Warehouse Project initiatives will include project planning, resource updating, and status reporting.
Qualifications:
-- Gather, analyze, transform, and validate business requirements into system requirements.
-- Validate business reporting requirements with internal and external customers.
-- Define and enforce standards and conventions (definition, naming, abbreviations).
-- Support business user groups on an ad-hoc, as required basis.
Skills:
* Minimum 5+ years of concentrated Data warehousing experience
* Creating both development and package implementation requirements
* Creating and delivering presentations at the executive level
* Working knowledge of Project Management tool - preferable MS Project
* Ability to develop, implement and drive strategy
* Hands on experience with Data Mining and Campaign management tools
* Hands on experience with OLAP tools
* Marketing/ database marketing background
*Excellent oral and written communication
* BA or 10 years of related job experience
Preferred:
* Experience with multiple data warehousing architectures and models including star schema
* Experience with specific data mining tool: SAS or SPAA
* Experience with Cognos OLAP toolset: Impromptu, PowerPlay and ReportNet
* Experience with international; data warehousing
* Experience with Web Analytics tools
Desired:
-- Experience in performance-tuning RDBMS Queries and Databases;
-- Ability with JAD and RAD methodologies;
-- Proven Project Management skills including:
-- Creating and managing project plans
-- Managing project through the full product development life cycle
-- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, S-Designor, or equivalent.
Educational Skills
- BS or BA, desirable. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant analytical field.
