This company is seeking an experienced Project Manager manages and coordinates all project management activities to see that proper and effective coordination are achieved between all appropriate parties involved with the project. This candidate will manage and lead team members who consist of individuals who take initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness, innovation, urgency, and passion. Candidate must enjoy working in a close team environment and who looks for creative and better ways to be successful. You will be working with all stakeholders in the organization, this position creates a master schedule and monitors project(s) to ensure that accurate information is communicated, to ensure that the deliverables remain on-time and within established budgetary parameters.
This Project Manager must be a self-starter in initiating project and process improvements and may take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology, and implementing new processes across the enterprise. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and work well with the technical and business communities to understand and deliver projects that increase the value of the Client's assets. Due to the nature of this position, it is imperative that the person be bilingual in English and Spanish (written and oral).
JOB OBJECTIVE
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key business managers
- Supports, leads and assists internal customers with requirements definition, project definition, and project planning
- Acts as a liaison between business and technical staff at all levels, while representing the Program Management group and the Information Technology department
- Prepares project plans, toll gate documentation and reports.
- Closely reviews and interprets all plans, specifications and schedules for each project's scope of work in conjunction with the resources assigned from the business
- Works closely with customers, developers or vendors to manage issues, scheduling, etc., as they arise.
- Schedules, facilitates and documents information for project status meetings.
- Coordinates with customers and vendors as needed.
- Monitors progress of each project at every phase of the process, doing everything possible to avoid delays and costs.
- Prepares and submits proper close-out documents to appropriate parties.
- Assists customers with cost-benefit analyses and business cases to support new project proposals
- Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of business processes and applications, customer needs and priorities
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
. 5-10 years Project Manager
. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills (both English and Spanish). Must be capable of writing various pojrect documents and project status.. Must be articulate in expressing thoughts and ideas.
. Ability to document complex technical data in a concise and clear manner.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
. Prefer some E-Commerce hardware / networking exposure
. Working knowledge of UNIX (AIX) and Window NT4/2000
. PMI certification advantageous but not essential
. Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
EDUCATION:
- BS or BA, desirable.
