Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a Customer Support Engineer.
On a day to day basis, the candidate will be responsible for the resolution of technical service problems and 2nd level phone support for end users, as well as rotating on-call shifts with pager notification.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be proficient in troubleshooting basic network connectivity and wireless network connections; have a strong knowledge of the Linux OS; experience writing and debugging Linux shell scripts; a good knowledge of various other Operating Systems such as Windows NT/98/2000/XP and Unix; experience in configuration and operation of SMTP messaging systems and mail relays; a strong knowledge of networking (routers, proxies, firewalls, etc.) and have excellent written and oral communication.
