Job Responsibilities & Expectations of Candidate
.The candidate filling this position will be responsible for administration of Crystal Enterprise/Business Objects Servers for application reporting and related Business Intelligence projects. Specific responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, participating in functional design, performing data anlaysis, writing complex SQL statements and develping Crystal Reports.
.The candidate will be required to work on multiple projects simulaneously, prioritizing their workload based on priorities stated by the department manager
.The candidate filling this position will be expected to communicate effectively with Business groups at all levels (analysts through executives).
.This position does not include on-call responsibilities, exceptions could arise during critical periods of a project.
.This resource is expected to deliver reporting applications using reporting tool suite - Crystal Enterprise. The resource will be a part of a centralized reporting Team. He or she will be responsible for working with Technology Application Teams to gather business reporting requirements, and to design, develop, test, and document reports. The resource should be able to work on multiple projects concurrently if the need arises. Most reporting efforts assigned will be new development for our Tier 1, 2 and 3 projects. Some RFS work will be required as reports are being modified or re-written to accommodate changes within existing applications.
.The Crystal Team is a centralized enterprise reporting Team that is comprised of 8 Team Members the Enterprise Reporting needs. This Team is responsible for gathering business requirements from multiple Customer and Technology groups, and for delivering reporting applications that meet those requirements. This Team leverages advanced features and capabilities of Crystal Reports and Business Objects to provide mature operational and analytic reporting solutions.
Experience: Technical Skills (i.e., language, database, applications, software, hardware, certifications etc.)
.Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience developing reports wth Crystal Enterprise/Business Objects Administration
Must include a minimum of 1 year experience in Crystal v10 or later.
.Proficient using Crystal Enterprise v10 including publising, security setup, services, support and repository usage
.Development experience must include: sub reports, writing complex formulas, conditional formating and writing Command Objects.
.Minimum 2 years experience working with Business Objects Universe Design, Web Intelligence, and / or OLAP Intelligence.
.Minimum 3 years experience writing SQL Queries against relational or dimensional databases.
.Minimum 2 years creating Crystal Business Views and Universes
.Minimum 5 years experience writing and optimizing SQL statements
.Minimum 5 years working with relational databases; join strategies and indexes a plus
.Minimum 5 years working with complex report designs including multiple sub reports Demonostrated skills in data presentation and UI design preferably with csp, asp, or jsp

.Minimum 3 years as part of team implementing solutions using a Systems Development Lifecycle Methodology
.Minimum 3 years gathering and documenting business requirements for Reporting and Business Intelligence Solutions
.Minimum 2 years participating in Testing Life Cycle (Data Validation and Performance Testing)
.Minimum 2 years demonstrated ability to conduct and/or lead discussions with Business Partners and Senior Technology Leadership
.Strong verbal communication skills for requirements gathering, heavy Customer interaction, and Team mentoring
.Desire to explore new features and product capablities
.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple concurrent projects
.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute reporting implementations
