Senior Business Analyst in Dallas, TX

Outstanding opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst. Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Must be able to translate business requirements into functional requirements and approaches for developers. Coordinate all internal and external follow-ups to close issues in support of the project requirements and system approach. Need a candidate with proven business analysis and systems analysis experience in energy / utilities environment, as well as a background in application support and change management processes. Experience in full System Development Life Cycle with an understanding of a variety of technologies and platforms such as web, client/server, mainframe, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), relational database concepts and object-oriented programming. Must have experience working with users and supporting IT development teams in defining IT solutions. Some knowledge of power plant maintenance practices would be desirable. MS .NET or at least some programming experience is needed. Technical experience with SQL, SQL DB, ASP, HTML and JavaScript important.
