We have an immediate need for an IBM WebSphere Commerce Application Administrator. While working with this outstanding globally recognized client you will have the opportunity to travel to multiple locations in the northeast region of the US. As the Application Administrator you will install, configure, and maintain WebSphere Commerce Enterprise. You will respond to system warnings, alerts, and errors, and diagnoses and resolves system problems. As the site administrator, you will control access and authorization (creating and assigning members to the appropriate role), and manage the Web site, monitor performance, and manage load balancing tasks. You will work with the system administrator to establish and maintain server configurations for different stages of development such as testing, staging, and production as well as work with system operations to handle critical system backups and resolve performance problems. Additionally, you will support Line of Business (LOB) users for managing Catalog, Content and other user managed aspects of the site.
3+ years as a WebSphere administrator and a bachelor degree is required for this position. Candidate will have experience in installing, configuring and administering WebSphere Commerce Enterprise or WebSphere Commerce Professional. You must have strong business and communications skills. Experience with consulting, business analysis and design, as well as experience with the WebSphere Application Server administration and WebSphere Portal Server administration is a plus. This job requires 100% travel to locations such as Edison, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, and Boston, MA.
