Desktop Support Analyst in Dallas, TX

This is a DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT Job Opportunity

This professional will provide all phases of Desktop and user support including support of desktop systems, laptops, printers, faxes, scanners, and other peripherals; perform routine maintenance functions such as changing daily backup tapes, logging tape rotation, and hardware inventory maintenance.
•Provide first level support for enterprise applications and network related issues
•Coordinate and support the Help Desk operations
•Understand, troubleshoot and repair basic PC and peripheral (i.e. printers, faxes scanners, etc.)
•Perform junior level server support and network account moves, adds, and changes
•Record all IT issues on Helpdesk system
•Abide by all IT Policies and Procedures pertaining to security of data, the network and its applications, proper account access and management and general Standard Operating Procedures.

Experience: •Minimum of 3-5 years experience supporting personal computers on Windows 2000 and Windows XP Workstation operating systems in an Ethernet network environment
•Knowledge of Windows 2000 Active Directory
•Thorough knowledge of M/S Office XP and MS Office 2003 applications
•Experience in supporting desktop applications in Local Area Network environment
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) to relate with users, service providers, and management
•Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment in a high output and dynamic environment
•Strong customer service orientation.
