We offer a competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits and a laid back environment.What you will be doing!- Monitor database operations.- Estimate MYSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage. - Develop and support MYSQL database replication- Develop and optimize physical design of MYSQL database systems- Tune and optimize the performance of all the staging and production database instances.- Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases; provide restoration services as needed - Plan and execute disaster recovery.- Develop stored procedures and database triggers in support of application development.- Participate in application development projects and be responsible for the database architecture and design.- Develop application-specific fault-tolerant distributed database mechanisms- Participate in the creation of development, staging and production database instances, and the migration of those instances from one environment to another.What you need!- Demonstrated experience with Open Source/Linux development and production environment.- Demonstrated experience administering of InnoDB and MyISAM table types.- Demonstrated experience with SQL/MYSQL Master/Slave configuration and replication.- Demonstrated experience Fault tolerance configured systems.- Demonstrated experience with multi-master clustering (HA).- Demonstrated experience with SQL/MYSQL performance tuning and optimization (query optimization, index tuning, caching and buffer tuning).- Experience with data profiling, metadata analysis, data modeling and relational schema design.- Solid understanding and experience in disaster recovery, planning and implementation.- Experience with backup and recovery process.Desired Eperience:- Must have experience with cloud computing or virtualized server environment.
