Candidates MUST know desktop engineering. This position will usher in Windows 7 and all the wonders that come with it. Critical Skills Inventory Must have experience developing master or gold images. Must have experience with creating and maintaining sysprep d images. Must have experience with creating and deploying software packages with desktop management products. Strong experience with LANDesk is highly desired. Must have experience with development and troubleshooting of scripts. Batch files, vbscript, and use of AutoIT is highly desired. Must have experience creating and deploying automated installers. Must have experience with Active Directory Policy Development and Workstation management through Active Directory. Must have a thorough knowledge of desktop (windows XP) and Thin Client (XPe) software deployment and support. Must be able to perform advanced troubleshooting skills at the registry and file system level. This position will often bridge the gap between application and network level support; therefore, strong knowledge of networking and application troubleshooting and behavior is preferred. Must have some experience building Servers (windows 2003) Successful candidate profile The successful candidate will join our team working to support our desktop engineering activities. The successful candidate will assist with the development and implementation of a new image(s) on current and upcoming Microsoft desktop operating systems. The successful candidate will maintain our current desktop image inventory, advancing its reliability and performance to continually better the user experience. The successful candidate will be tasked to respond to advanced desktop issues that may turn out to be application or network issues; therefore, it is critical that the successful candidate will have outstanding customer service skills and technical capabilities. This candidate will be in our team s on-call support rotation, and will be able to hit the ground running in a servant-led environment.
