Lead architectural IT design for $5 to $15 million dollars projects in the gas and electric utility market. Your will design applications which may run on multiple platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages. Your role performs critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the application and prepares for the development of the application by evaluation and selection of development methodologies and tools. This includes responsiblility for performance, availability and scalability of the applications, and maintains the functional interface to the application infrastructure. This is not a developer position.
You can live in any of the following cities: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Hartford, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Tulsa or Washington DC. You can live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 miles) of a major airport. Travel can be up to 100% on weekdays. Experience: Heres a summary of what you will need:
* Two years employment in a consulting firm with consulting responsibilities; Energy & Utilities CIS / Billing focus in recent 3-5 years
* At least 3 years technical delivery experience in large and complex CIS / Billing projects and technologies
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in at least 4 full lifecycle, successful CIS / Billing projects, including the following responsibilities:
* Evaluation of key technical capabilities across CIS / Billing vendors
* Work effort definition for application, integration, and infrastructure
* Technical requirements definition and mapping
* Technical solution architecture design and development
* Testing and technology deployment
* Significant client interaction and technology consulting experience
* Strong understanding of CIS / Billing technology considerations including application configuration, infrastructure, and integration
* Implementation experience with at least one leading CIS / Billing solution including: Peace/Peace 8, Customer/1, SAP CCO, SPL/CC&B, LodeStar/Load & Bill Vision.
