Retek Systems Engineer in Dallas, TX

An International Retail company is in the need for a Retek Systems Engineer to maintain and enhance the Retek RMS enterprise price and item management system. You will own this system and be the primary go to guy or gal for day to day performance tuning. Qualifications Required: 1. Minimum 2 years experience managing Retek retail applications, specifically RMS and Promotions 2. 3 - 6 years experience in enterprise systems management, configuration, and development support 3. Strong knowledge of the following oracle technologies, with minimum experience: - SQL, PL/SQL - 5 years - Oracle 9iAS - 3 years - Oracle Forms 6i - 3 years - Oracle Reports 6i - 3 years - C and Oracle Pro*C - 2 years 4. Excellent verbal and written skills 5. Ability to interface with customers and retail systems team members in a professional setting 6. Ability to travel in limited amounts Minimum 2 years experience UNIX administration and shell script programming, SunSolaris experience preferred Job Duties: - Day to day management, performance tuning and maintenance of Retek RMS application, including upgrades and patch management - Support integration with enterprise systems and ensure accurate data transfer - Provide primary operational support for application in development, test, and production - Collaborate with Retail, Operations, and Strategy teams to configure and maintain application to support the business requirements - Document and share all integration related information with different groups; such as QA, TechSupport, Implementation, TechComm, and etc. - Provide content for all Retek-related technical documentation - Provide assistance n QA lab maintenance and configuration - Interface with QA to help validate and qualify new upgrades and patches - Assist 3rd level support engineer in the diagnoses and analyses of problems that are reported - Provide validation and guidance to Level 2 and Level 3 support resources - Perform development testing of any new documentation, processes, or procedures This is a fabulous company to join!
