ITCC Production Specialist - Software Support

Our ITCC (Information Technology Control Center) is looking for a qualified candidate to join our Software Support team.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides analysis and diagnostic services for all problems encountered with mainframe and mid-range software and hardware, provides
timely resolution with minimal client impact for a variety of topics, and addresses a vast array of problems crossing many different
applications and technology platforms in an extremely complex data processing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs analysis, diagnostics, and problem determination on all mainframe software problems, documents the problem, and enacts
the problem resolution or short-term circumvention.
2. Determines the appropriate problem resolution based on an understanding of the client's needs.
3. Identifies recurring problems, performs root cause analysis and takes corrective action.
4. Escalates problem to next level of experience or appropriate department or area.
5. Notifies and communicates problems to others in a timely manner.
6. Performs complex installations for mid-range and mainframe software.
7. Documents first level problem determination steps as they occur.
8. Works with other Information Technology Control Center (ITCC) associates and Information Technology associates as problems are
resolved and escalated.
9. Works with clients on an ongoing basis as work is performed to solve problems.
10. Works and directs vendors to dispatch and react to issues as required.
SKILLS:
1. Education: A college degree or equivalent work experience is required. A major in computer science preferred.
2. 4 - 5 years' other data processing experience with a mastery of Application Problem Resolution.
3. Core Competencies: Analytical and problem solving skills, working knowledge of mainframe, and mid-range operating systems, working
knowledge of critical mainframe system resources including tools, hardware and software applications, detailed working
knowledge of all components regarding batch processing, customer service skills, written and oral communications,
