ITCC PC Software / Hardware Technician

Excellent opportunity to join a winning team. Our ITCC (Information Technology Control Center) is looking for a strong Desktop Technician.
Shift: 1st (M-F 8 AM - 4:30 PM)
DESCRIPTION:
Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software pertaining to the corporate Intel based desktops. Makes hardware
repairs to various printers, and desktop units. Dispatches appropriate vendor for advanced or contracted hardware support issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifies and resolves PC hardware and software issues.
2. Provides technical assistance to end users for basic application and network issues.
3. Ensures that the Intel assets have the latest upgrades, patches and fixes.
4. Thoroughly documents problem resolutions for future support endeavors.
5. Repairs, replaces, and dispatches vendor for hardware replacement components.
6. Works with applications developers to resolve issues with internally written applications.
7. Ensures that all Network devices from the LAN closet to the users desktop are maintained and operating at their optimum level.
8. Works closely with other IT groups for updates and support on approved hardware and software.
9. Works closely with the Technical Support Network group on network upgrades and user problems relating to the network.
10. Works closely with vendors for timely replacements on hardware.
11. Works closely with applications developers to resolve issues that arise with the corporate platform.
SKILLS:
Education: Associate degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1 - 2 years in a basic PC support role.
