Senior C++ / Windows with SQL - Dallas in Dallas, TX

Live in Dallas or Houston with the possibility of travel.

$65,000 to $105,000 + bonuses, based on you skill level.

Looking for a highly motivated and career oriented individual to participate in various phases in the development and implementation of software products for niche operational areas of business. Be part of a team of experienced system developers and architects in the design and construction of user interface components or business logic components using C++ ( and some C# ) languages on top of a proprietary architecture framework based on popular Microsoft technologies. Employ an object oriented development approach utilizing Microsoft tools ( Visual C++, Visual Studio .NET 2003 ) and industry standard relational databases ( Oracle and SQL Server ).

Mentor/supervise more junior developers and help enforce common standards.

These are very large applications with complex business logic. You will need to see the big picture, and work in the nitty-gritty code.

KEY SKILLS: Architect, Visual C++, VC++, C# / .NET, Object Oriented Design, OOD, MFC, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, RDBMS

  • Bachelors degree with a 3.2 GPA or higher in CS or MIS is MANDATORY
  • Excellent English and people interfacing skills
  • 5+ years Visual C++ / C++ / Windows
  • 2+ years OO Development
  • SQL ( familiar with upper, lower, right left joins and in a large environment, minimum 100 tables )
  • Experience developing Large Scale Business Applications
  • A high aptitude for learning both technical and business concepts and solving complex problems
  • A passion for developing software, and committed and diligent in what you do
