We are looking for Oracle Database Administrators for a long term contract with our Fortune 50 customer. We need contractors willing to work 60 - 90 days in Italy followed by 90 days working in their home office or location, but working a shift that starts at 4 a.m. EDT for 8 hours. To qualify for this excellent opportunity you must: - Have a current US passport or the ability to obtain one - Have 8 years IT experience and 5+ years as an Oracle DBA. - Good written and verbal communication skills are required - Knowledge and experience with the following: Oracle 10g, 9i &8i, Oracle software installation and upgrade, database performance monitoring and tuning, database backup and recovery, database troubleshooting and problem resolution, database capacity planning, physical database design and implementation, Oracle Replication, Oracle Partitioning, NET8. - Be capable of working with several departments to design and implement complete database solutions. Must also be capable of working independently with a minimum amount of supervision. - Have experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters, Logical database design, database design tools, PL/SQL.
