SR. NETWORK ENGINEER Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas Area*****REQUIREMENT: SUNDAYS 10:30am - 6:30pm will be part of the regular work week. Employee will receive Saturdays and one day during the week off.*****Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Provide Primary and Out Of Region Support, support the Firewall and analyze Firewall logs, support maintenance and ongoing changes to DNS/DHCP network infrastructure. * Perform Firewall and DNS changes, participate in design reviews, document project plans for networks. Design, implement and maintain Core network infrastructure required for the connectivity of IT systems. * Implement IOS upgrade to Cisco and other network devices. * Implement and support Load Balancers for Web applications. * Research and develop new technologies for secure network communication.* Support and implement Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)* Support and maintenance of LAN devices that include routers and switches IOS upgrade and troubleshooting of network problems.* Participate in meetings and coordination of connectivity for new projects with other departments.* Support Disaster Recovery initiatives. * Communicate with vendors and perform product evaluations.
Requirements:

Employee will receive Saturdays and one day during the week off.Minimum Experience/Education Required:* 5 years of related experience.* Experience designing and implementing TCP/IP networks including addressing, IP routing, DHCP, DNS, WINS, SNMP.* BA degree in Computer Science or related experience or skills, certification of Cisco and Checkpoint systems is a plus.Required Knowledge and Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of the following:* Firewall technology with preferred Checkpoint / Nokia background* Network architectures and equipment with preferred Cisco background * Network management and troubleshooting systems such as Sniffer and other network management tools* DNS/DHCP network environments with preferred Lucent QIP background* Sun Solaris environments as a platform for network management systems * Network protocols (TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF & RIP)* Internet Technology-Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills-Strong troubleshooting skills-Strong documentation and presentation skills-Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and ability to work independently when requiredPlease submit resumes in WORD format (not Text) with required skills highlighted.
