Data Analyst/Tester in Dallas, TX

Excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst/Tester with one of our most exciting clients. Will function as data lead on projects. Will analyze application enhancements and assist users with the development of data requirements, user test plans, and test cases to confirm project requirements. Will assist management with the setup and validation of jobs, verify core system tests, document findings, and work with development and testing team for problem correction and re-test. Will modify and enhance an Intranet application built using VB.Net, Java and Crystal Reports with a backend DB2 database. Tasks also include new development and modification of the associated COBOL batch jobs that support the Intranet application. Will review JCL and control cards to include the code to be tested, create or modify test data, create and execute test scripts, resolve problems and work with customers and application developers. Position requires five or more years of professional testing experience in a dedicated testing organization. Must have strong experience in development of data requirements, user test plans, and test cases. Background with COBOL/JCL in a test environment important. Experience working with VB.Net, Java, Crystal Reports and DB2 needed. May be required to work second or third shift, depending on project schedules.
