User Experience Architect in Dallas, TX

Document user needs with task analysis, use cases, and workflows. * Work with fellow designers, to create a UE design strategy and to ensure that new designs are consistent with JCP customer touchpoints. * Create deliverables such as wire frames, personas, page flow diagrams, lo-fidelity prototypes, and functional/UI specs. * Work and communicate effectively within a multi-functional team in an iterative development process to translate business requirements into functional requirements and specifications. * Report on findings to a variety of different audiences (from the team members to senior executives) at a variety of different levels (from executive summaries to detailed & thorough reports). * Plan user research methodology, including writing test protocols and screeners, analyzing findings, and generating design recommendations. * Perform heuristic evaluations and competitive analysis. * Manage UE projects including estimating work effort, creating schedules, identifying requirements, prioritizing tasks and updating project plans. Additional requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or demonstrated related job experience. Master's degree preferred. Experience: At least 5 years professional experience in Human-Computer Interaction Design of web applications, consumer products, software, and products. Experience applying usability evaluation and user research methods for eliciting user feedback to include in the design process. Experience with Visio, HTML, Flash, iRise, or Morae a plus. Core Competencies: Maintains high level of urgency and managing in an environment of immediacy and high visibility. Excellent analytic ability coupled with critical thinking skills. Demonstrate ability to lead and manage projects; superior computer and technology knowledge; ability to achieve results working through and with others; able to manage effectively in situations of multiple priorities with a strong bias for action/urgency. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Comfort level with rapid change and fast pace. Occasional domestic travel is required.
