Mainframe Programmer in Dallas, TX

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mainframe programmer to support projects and related tasks with the development, maintenance and enhancement of retail merchandising applications in a mainframe COBOL batch and IMS/TM environment using IMS databases. Duties will include Project Development (executing project plan to meet project deliverables; life cycle management; development of technical requirements), Service requests (maintain and enhance applications to meet business needs; investigate and resolve queries; develop application corrections and identify temporary workarounds until corrections are in place and; follow change management procedures) and Release Management (sign off on new production loads; update production support document and; maintain version control for development) Position requires a minimum of 5 years working experience in IMS z/OS application development to include: JCL, COBOL, DLI, Telon, File-Aid for IMS and VSAM, Abend-Aid, Expeditor, TSO, ISPF, CLISTS, IEBGENER, IDCAMS, IEBCOPY and IEFBR14. Must be familiar with TSS, SMS, JHS, File-Aid for MVS, Mainview, and Omegamon for MVS desired. CA Endevor/Harvest experience is a plus. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years development experience in C#, ASP.NET, Classic ASP (VBScript), XML and web services is highly desired along with solid understanding of Oracle and/or SQL Server. Must have knowledge of database design and processing; complex problem solving and resolution skills. Must meet security clearance requirements (NACI) for accessing sensitive corporate data and be a U.S. citizen.
