Java / J2EE Open Source Developer in Dallas, TX

In this opportunity, you will have the enviable role of talking an existing proprietary Windows application and rewriting it as a Web application with Java as the code behind in an open source environment. If you have a passion for replacing a Windows app with an open source web app, this is the opportunity for you. You would be working directly with the VP of Development to provide a prototype application initially and then to be involved in the full scale development. The open source licensing savings will give this application a decided business advantage over the C#.NET/ SQL Server application that currently exists. You will be involved directly with the framework design and architecture to develop an extensible web application. Experience: Local candidates only. No relocation will be provided for this oportunity.
