Our Dallas Client is looking for a Messaging Architect:

Our Client is looking for extraordinary software engineers to join their team in Dallas . Successful candidates have a demonstrated track record of educational, professional, and personal achievement. He or she has an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science from a top-tier university. Candidates with Natural Sciences or Math degrees and a deep theoretical & practical understanding of software engineering will be considered. Financial experience is not a prerequisite, but a strong interest is the application of investment management is a must. Candidates should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the difference between working smart and working hard.

Our client's developers are organized into small teams with independent prioritization and release schedules. Developers work directly with end users in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where technology makes an immediate impact. Groups have the autonomy of small teams but the support structure of a larger development organization including automated nightly builds, automated regression testing, etc. Our client values excellent analytical skills and innovative problem solving approaches. A very flat organizational structure allows for the opportunity to migrate across teams and broaden your business knowledge and experience.

The candidate will be a member of the Infrastructure and Risk Development group. This group is responsible for: the design & implementation of low-level application frameworks & infrastructure; design & maintenance of core business services including Position, Risk, Profit & Loss, and Transaction management; and design & maintenance of real-time risk reporting capability. The Infrastructure and Risk Development group provides a unique opportunity to apply acute technical capability while acquiring sought after financial management expertise.




Required Job Skills



Minimum of 7 years practical experience using messaging middleware technologies. The ideal candidate must be viewed as an expert in messaging technologies.
Deep, low-level understanding of Tibco RV & EMS including the specification and implementation of a Tibco infrastructure for a high message volume environment (>30k messages/sec, >500 subscribers, >100 publishers).
Minimum of 10 years professional development experience and 3 years operating at the architect level.
Strong familiarity with C++ as most of our applications are written in C++.
Strong multi-threaded programming and maintenance of a highly distributed, multi-threaded, real-time application in a service-oriented architecture.
Expertise with object oriented design concepts and software design patterns.
Expertise applying a robust software development process (agile, RUP, Xtreme).
Optional Job Skills



Exposure to web services technologies (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, WSDL, XSD)
Familiar with web client development (HTML, AJAX, ASP.NET)
Familiar with Windows systems programming (threading, synchronization, & service APIs)
Familiar with MFC and C#/.NET
Familiar with Excel intergration with Tibco
