Systems Analyst in Dallas, TX

Our client is currently looking for a Systems Analyst for a full-time salaried position in Dallas, Texas. Qualified candidates will have experience implementing various software systems in a power user or analyst capacity, preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment using Direct Store Delivery.

The primary responsibility of the Systems Analyst is to support users and maintain the ERP system. In the first two years, this position will support the conversion of a number of dairies to the centralized ERP and Financials systems, in addition to other software applications used to support the client's initiatives. Responsibilities during the project phase include working with technical staff by being involved in data conversion efforts and training end users both on system functions and business process standards. Some travel (approximately 75-80%) will be required. Following the project phase this position will require less travel and be one of the primary support analysts for the ERP system and other software applications.


Responsibilities:

· Performs analysis of data conversion specifications from existing legacy system to new ERP system.

· Supports users in parallel and conversion tests and confirms results.

· Develops or refines training materials and trains new users on ERP system and software applications to support the client's initiatives.

· Works with other members of project team to train users and support interfaces from ERP system into financial system and other software applications.

· Provides IT support for software system questions and issues from end users.

· Performs report analysis for new requests from senior level management, end users, and auditors, including development of specifications, handoff to technical resources, and testing as needed.

· Ensures that system documentation is updated according to IT standards.

· Provides or coordinates all tasks necessary to ensure smooth operation of ERP system and other software initiatives across multiple locations.



Education and Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business logistics, supply chain, information systems, computer science or related field.

· At least two years in a power user or systems analyst role supporting or implementing business processes with an ERP system (preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment using Direct Store Delivery).

· Experience with at least one software implementation project.

· Report writing experience a plus.

· Experience with IBM i-Series applications a plus.

· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· Familiarity with Microsoft Project.



Preferred Non-Technical Experience

In this role project leadership, requirements analysis and documentation will be required thus this individual is expected to have the following non-technical experience:

· Ability to communicate effectively with the business users in creating system and reporting requirements documentation.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and issues simultaneously.


Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business logistics, supply chain, information systems, computer science or related field.
